I love summer. Like, seriously, ridiculously, OMG love summer. Today is the first day of the year that temps are reaching 90degrees. Summer is here!
We survived a double-wedding weekend last weekend and I am still telling everyone who is willing to listen what a wonderful time we had! Saturday morning started with a long drive to Pueblo, CO to attend Ashley and Colin's wedding at a beautiful Catholic church. The ceremony was wonderful, the bride was stunning and the time with my former co-workers was priceless. We headed back up to Denver for Kari and Jue's rehearsal dinner at a local Chinese restaurant (yum!) and I'm proud to say that the rehearsal paid off for all of us! Sunday was the bridesmaid brunch and pre-wedding festivities followed by a beautiful ceremony and reception at Arrowhead Golf Course. Kari was glowing in her custom-made dress and has inspired me to take my own wedding to a whole new level!
We met with our Rabbi on Monday and I'm relieved to say that not much work, on our part, needs to be done for the ceremony. One less task on our to-do list is great! Speaking of to-do list, guess what we did last night? Yup, put together the longest to-do list you've ever seen! Just when you think you don't have that much left to do, you realize that it's the little things that are so time consuming. Etsy has become my new best friend so some of our DIY projects are pushed in that direction - which is fine with us!
Wedding Craft Party, Round II has been officially scheduled for Sunday, June 12th. Thank goodness for friends who are willing to try their hand at my crazy, crafty ideas! We're going to spend this coming weekend building a retaining wall in our front yard... just be thankful I didn't send out an invite for that!
Happy Summer!!

What Do You Mean It's Only WEDNESDAY?!
Do you ever have those weeks where you wonder what exactly is going on around you? Like you missed something ... or slept through something... yeah, I'm having one of those weeks right now. It should definitely be the weekend by now but because it's not, I shall blog.
Here's how my week has been so far:
Monday = Migraine
Tuesday = Torture
Wednesday = Wedding!
(Notice a theme?) The good news from this week is that I met with a florist today and it was so.much.fun. We talked colors and themes and romantic ideas and flowers and flowering branches and does the Rabbi really need a boutonniere?! I am getting a formal proposal in the next week and cannot wait to see the ideas she came up with. But let's talk about something first.
Did you know...
... that Billy Balls don't come in any other color besides yellow?
They're only one of the coolest flowers ever. What is genetic engineering good for?!
The good news is that all those mason jars that I've been collecting are about to come in really handy so don't stop eating your spaghetti sauce!
Week Outlook:
Thursday = Travel (meeting with a friend to compare Costa Rica travel notes)
Friday = Fun (need I explain myself?)
Side note: I talked to our Rabbi today - just to check-in - and mentioned that I was meeting with a florist. He then began to give me advice on flowers. Thanks, Rabbi Buz.
Side side note: I found a pretty BM dress that I thought was cute and one of the BMs told me that it looks like Tinkerbell. To torture or not to torture...

Whew!
Remember that list I posted on October 4th? No? Here it is again:
I was having fun with the cathedral-lenth veil!
How fun is this?!
Yes, that's all the train...
I loved this one!
To Be Completed by December:
* Hire photographer and take engagement pics
* Secure an officiant
* Have an invite and STD plan (that's Save the Date, weirdo).
* Have a dress? Maybe...
HAHA!! Yes, it's been a busy week!! Engagement pics is not crossed off, but don't worry, they're scheduled! Fiance and I are excited for our urban shoot on Sunday, November 7th. Now I just have to figure out what to wear..hmmm...
We have a Rabbi! We have a photographer! Invites are in the works! I BOUGHT MY DRESS TONIGHT!! The wedding is getting more and more real every day and I cannot wait. You are going to have to wait to see pictures of The Dress until The Wedding (ha, like it's the event of the century) but I hope these fun dresses make you smile. I had a blast with Operation: Wedding Dress and am almost sad that I'm done trying on fancy, expensive dresses. Maybe we'll go to the Oscar's some day... a girl can always dream.
Enjoy!
